This article highlighted two in-clinic second opinion cases. In the first case, neoplasia was suspected, but normal biomarker results guided the investigation toward other possible pathologies. In the second case, abnormal biomarker results resolved uncertainty regarding a potentially benign splenic tumour and a malignant hemangiosarcoma. The importance of early testing and diagnosis is also discussed.
