A May 2022 study (Biosensors, MDPI, Miroslav Pohanka, Diagnoses Based on C-Reactive Protein Point-of-Care Tests, reported a standard error of 4% for the immunofluorescence analyzer, compared to a standard error of 1.5% for the reference laboratory ELISA and CLIA tests, and 15% for the Lateral Flow test (SNAP reader). That suggests that the immunofluorescence analyzer is well over 90% accurate.
Although you are free to charge testing fees as you see fit, our intention is to make in-clinic biomarker testing affordable for pet owners so that we can offer more comprehensive diagnostics. If biomarker tests are affordable for the pet owner, we can test more frequently and comprehensively and identify more diseases that will require treatment. Our clients will benefit as will our clinics, and our companion animals. With that in mind, if you need a recommendation, please contact us for a consult so we can assist.
We receive new research every week on the efficacy of biomarkers and do our best to pass that information along to you. We send out informative emails and post compelling topics on social media. In the Education section of our webpage, you will find articles and research study summaries on a variety of topics involving the use of biomarkers in-clinic. If you are curious about an aspect of biomarker testing, send us an email query. If we have a study on that topic, we will send it to you.
